What is counterclockwise

Counterclockwise is a workshop and movement designed to explore themes of Queer Trauma, healing, joy and futures. Counterclock wise is offered as an 8 week virtual group or in-person half day workshop. It is  part workshop, part process, part practice to explore themes of queer trauma and healing. The goal of this group is not to solve but to find space and community around similar themes and topics.  These workshops will be part education, part community building and part writing workshop based on counter narrative writing storytelling/live anthology creation.

WHAT IS BEING SAID ABOUT THE COURSE:

I really enjoyed and appreciated this group because of the way it expanded my knowledge, awareness, and vocabulary about queer trauma and healing. The structure of the sessions is helpful and allowed me to ground myself when confronting the topic of trauma. The group members were open and supportive, and we shared overlap in our stories that made me feel validated and less alone. This group enabled me to move towards healing, while also helping me meet new people and expand my community. Because of the discussions we had in this course, I improved a lot on being able to put my queer trauma into words. Instead of it being a vague, heavy pain, I am able to name things for what they are. I feel empowered in my creativity and my newfound ability to communicate with others about my identity.

This class came into my life when it was much needed, a necessity. It helped me move thru emotions and feelings I did not even realize were there. I'm grateful.
